Knight Fencing – good quality and built to last
23/09/2011
As we’ve been buffeted by gales here at the Knight Fencing yard – we’ve been busy making sure our supplies aren’t blown around Sidlesham, I thought I should talk about how well our fencing, gates and other timber products are made.
All of our closeboard panels, one of our most popular domestic fencing products, are made from home-grown timber and everything is pressure-treated befor
e assembly. This means that they not only look good but are built to last.
We buy our timber largely from FSC-accredited sawmills in the UK. These mills get the timber from sustainable forests and this slower grown timber is better quality, which is what we’re interested in. Buying from this source also helps the UK forestry industry and allows us to guarantee our timber for ten years against rot.
Of course, the quality isn’t just in the timber, it’s also in the manufacture and installation. All of our staff are expertly trained and hold CSCS, FISS or SSTS accreditation, and many joined us as apprentices. This kind of dedicated fencing expertise means we guarantee our labour for two years.
When the weather plays up like it has, it makes you appreciate the quality of fencing and gates, and any other wooden structures, such as pergolas and arches, which you have in the garden. You want them to be there and in one piece in the morning!
